Music Artist Leon Budrow Talks Music & COVID-19
Leon Budrow is an up and coming rap & pop artist from Pennsylvania. He has been creating music for a while now, and has graced us with some good songs. This year alone, he has release tracks Think About You, Drip Drip Strip, and Time of Our Life. All tracks have gained Budrow local attention and gave him a stage to express his feelings to his fans. We recently caught up with Budrow and asked him a few questions about his music career:
When you started making music, how has your life changed?
When I began making music, all other aspects of my life were significantly elevated. My energy and enthusiasm for all things became naturally uplifted as I had found a creative passion that made me feel very fulfilled.
How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry?
Though I am hoping that Covid-19 has not permanently altered the music industry long term, the virus has definitely hurt artists from engaging and growing their fan base face to face through live concerts and touring — specifically up and coming artists that really need that exposure to grow as they are not nationally known and promoted.
What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?
I am currently finishing up my 2020 album Iridium, which I will be releasing one single at a time. Prior to Covid, I was working towards breaking the Billboard charts as well as booking another national tour, which I hope to continue working on as things begin to go back to normal.
What would you tell upcoming artists trying to make it in the music industry?
Be smart with your money. As an independent artist, you are ultimately funding every aspect of your career yourself. I’ve wasted a lot of money on work that I never finished and people that have taken advantage of me, be smart with your investments and don’t be so trusting.
