Miles Gaines Says We Are Not Alone
Miles Gaines released his latest project You Are Not Alone in May of last year. That project came on the heels of his successful single Stars release a few years earlier. With Miles Gaines being such a talent artist, we had to catch up with him and ask him few questions on about his musice and career.
When you started making music, how has your life changed?
I started making music at age 11. After dealing with multiple label situations and realizing that independence was for me, I regained that original love I had for the music along with the business aspect.
How do you think the death of George Floyd and the pandemic altered the music industry?
I feel that there’s 2 answers to that question. 1 being that I’m happy that people laid off on releasing singles and albums to raise awareness, but I do feel like more could’ve been done in releasing specific songs to actually raise more awareness. Music is an outlet. A way for an artist to vent.
What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?
I will be releasing 2 singles in July along with a project mid fall.
What would you tell upcoming artists trying to make it in the music industry?
Do it for the love. Everything else would come. There will be plenty of time for the business aspect. Enjoy creating and perfecting your craft.
