Meet: Prince Kash
Prince Kash is an American singer and songwriter from Las Vegas, Nevada. The social media sensation has worked behind the scenes in the entertainment industry for almost 10 years. In 2012 the singer turned down 3 record deals to remain independent and learn more about the music business. After his hiatus, the years of working with Rising Stars, he released a song titled Remember feat. Mvrz with a very melodic and raspy undertone, this may be a sign that the Cleveland native will be releasing more music this year. We recently caught up with Prince Kash and asked him a few questions:
When you started making music, how has your life changed?
“When I started making music, it gave me a way to express all the emotions I held inside, it turned me into a true artist, my words being the paint and the beat being the canvas, I was creating works of art. Music is also the reason why I started a successful marketing company.”
How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry?
“It really ruined the experience of live performances, I feel like that’s very important for the fans to feel the energy of an artist up close and personal”.
What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?
“My latest body of work is called “Late Nights”. It’s a representation of all the sleepless nights an artist has to go through to achieve success.”
What would you tell upcoming artists trying to make it in the music industry?
“Focus on perfecting your craft, and learning the business first, the money and fame will come after that.”
