Meet: KC Solo of Ruby Recordings
On Friday (April 30), KC Solo announced his debut single “Deep Thoughts”, which will be released on May 14th. Pre-order available here: orcd.co/deepthoughts. This move serves as a win for the Texas bombshell, who continues to coast by the competition with his fiery delivery, ferocious lyricism and magnetic microphone presence. We recently caught up with KC Solo and asked him a few questions about his career:
When you started making music, how has your life changed?
My life has changed quite a bit since I started taking music seriously. Studio sessions are late night & early mornings. Shows are booked often & it’s very time consuming which is a good thing for me because it keeps me busy. I’ve met new connections & have been in contact with some good people that want to see & take my career too the next level.
How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry?
COVID-19 I feel maybe impacted the industry a bit as far as shows not being booked as much because of the social distancing rule. Other than that i feel it hasn’t made too much of an impact on the music industry given more venues are starting too open back up. it actually opened more doors for me personally as an artist if you ask me.
What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?
I have a few unreleased tracks I haven’t dropped yet & I’m also working on a new EP. I’ve been constantly in the studio working as well as molding & perfecting my sound & craft as an artist.
What would you tell upcoming artists trying to make it in the music industry?
I would tell an up coming artist too be yourself, be original & standout. If music is something your truly invested in take it serious & work hard & Don’t let nobody tell you can’t or won’t make it.
