OMGItsKiddFresh also known as Kidd Fresh is a rising videographer for Tampa, FL. Originally from Boston, Kidd Fresh started making videos and doing photography almost 10 years ago. After years of perfecting his craft, Kidd Fresh has made videos for popular YouTubers & music artists from around the world. We recently caught up with him and asked him a few questions about his career.

When you started creating videos, how has your life changed?

When I started creating videos work was very slow at first , but as years went on I basically started shooting everyday , & it definitely took a big change in my life because I started traveling for free to do work with other artist & getting paid more .

How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry?

Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the music industry in a big way physically taking an huge impact in this music industry by storm when it comes to shows and Touring. Some of these artist are living outside their means living paycheck to paycheck and now that these are not assessable it’s stoping a lot of their income specially for upcoming artists who struggles to build their fan base.

What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?

I am currently putting together & working on a couple short film projects with some artist & of course more music videos with popular artist .

What would you tell upcoming videographers trying to make it in the industry?

One of the most important advice i can give up an coming talented videographers trying to make it in this industry is to stay committed and patient. At times we get into this business thinking that we will be making a return investment fast because of the amount of money we put in our gears. But honestly i feel like people lack the respect videographers deserve in this industry when we are the ones bringing the artist story to life visually. A lot of big star artist and people who are famous on social media lack the quality of paying for the service and that tend to get your hopes down as an upcoming videographer when your trying to make ends meat and they want you to work for free. My message is no matter of the obstacles you may be dealing with when it comes to potential clients or clients in general is to know your worth and value your time.

To keep up with Kidd Fresh you can follow him on all social media platforms @omgitskiddfresh.
