Braxton Stunner Is An Artist On The Rise
Lousiana rap artist Braxton Stunner has been making music for some time. He recently releases his latest single 10 this past summer. 10 comes on the heels on his Rookie Year EP, which released earlier this year. The 4 track ep featured hits Baller Way & Loses To Win, which gained him local attention. Braxton Stunner comes as a breath of fresh air to artists who want to make it in the music industry. With his passion for music and his consistent determination, Braxton Stunner will be a household name in no time. We recently caught up him and asked him a few question regarding his music career.
When you started making music, how has your life changed?
Life changed for me when I started making music, by the way every moment became a part of my songs and story. Before music, certain life moments I felt like they were happening just because I had to go through things anyone would go through. Once I started making music, everything each year began to feel more personal and purposeful because I knew somehow it would help shape me into the true unique artist I was destined to become while on this earth.
How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry?
To me the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry because once it happened, there was no way to have face to face interactions and networking with supporters in the city. Due to the outbreak, more artists in the music industry were forced to find ways to interact and socialize with different people, while maintaining safety. Also it limited live performances which were planned all throughout the year, and later canceled for safety purposes which altered attracting new listeners at certain times.
What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?
I am currently working on an EP titled “Time Alone” that is set to release in February of 2021. This project will be one of my most heartfelt projects yet, as I will be revealing songs in which I’ll showcase how the isolation and different situations during the pandemic, helped create the unique passion felt of this “Time Alone” project. It will have four tracks total, and my debut single titled “10” which was released August 2020 will also be featured on “Time Alone” EP.
What would you tell upcoming artists trying to make it in the music industry?
My advice to upcoming artists trying to make it in the music industry would be to never be afraid to fail, and always stay true to who you are as an artist. Whatever you discovered about yourself over time, that you feel makes you unique compared to artists all over the world, enhance that aspect of yourself because that is what truly makes you different. Never be afraid to fail, because most times trial and error is what’s needed in order to learn more about what is necessary to elevate and be the artist you always seen yourself becoming in your vision.
