Ashley Diaz Talks Her New Ventures
After her appearance on Love & Hip-Hop New York, entrepreneur & beauty mogul Ashley Diaz took some time out of her busy day to talk about her new ventures.
After your appearance on Love & Hip-Hop New York, how has your life changed?
After Love and Hip Hop I gave birth to now my 2 year old Ashton. I decided to dedicate more time to being a mom, but besides that I was able to build a platform and following on social media. I also started 2 new businesses which I have been concentrating on growing @ShopTrendyHabits and @PrettyByAshley
How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the fashion industry?
I think Covid-19 provided the opportunity for online businesses to bloom. I co-owned a brick and mortar store at one of New Jersey’s largest malls (Westfield Garden State Plaza) and we shut it down and went fully digital. It changed a lot. people are more likely now to wear loungewear during Covid and It’s on demand. I saw a spike in sales at my new online business Shop Trendy Habits @shoptrendyhabits which I co-own with my sister @AyishaDiaz and @JadaBlackwell_ I also own @PrettyByAshley which is a website where I sell beauty and health products. My largest selling item during Covid-19 has been resistance bands because a lot of people are working out at home.
What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?
Right now I’m just focusing on building my businesses. Looking forward to working with important people in the future and Setting up a comfortable lifestyle.
What would you tell upcoming entrepreneurs trying to make it in the beauty/cosmetic industry?
To get up and do the work ! It takes a lot to run a business and especially in the fashion industry. The fashion industry works at a fast pace. You can’t fall behind to what’s in style.
